Pasang Dawa Sherpa

Pasang Dawa Sherpa is a Nepal-based Independent filmmaker & Producer. He earned a bachelor's degree in Screenplay writing and film direction in 2013. His graduation film, “Rattling Fan” 2014, was honored with Audience Choice and the best Film Critics award at Ekadeshma and Sahar International Short Film Festival. Along with this his following short films as director and producer, Life Liberation 2021, Dream 2019, and Cave 2016 screened at London Short Film Festival, Kathmandu International Mountain Film Festival, Ekadeshma, Nepal America International Film Festival, and other International Film Festivals worldwide.

His works as an editor include; Bagthan (2022) short fiction screened at Rotterdam, Junko (2021) short screened at Fribourg, Torino, POFF Shorts Black Nights Film Festival, Barking Dogs (2021) short fiction won a best experimental award at Tasveer SAFF, won Best Short Film at Pame Film Festival, and Wings (2018) short fiction won Grand Prize winner Nespresso Talents.

Currently, he is developing his debut feature film project, A Hidden Tale Behind the Mist, which was participated in four international platforms including Marche Du Film Festival De Cannes Coproduction Days, 2021 and NFDC Film Bazaar Co-production market 2020, and won the IFI-PAS award, Docskool residency 2018.
