Rajeela Shrestha is a filmmaker based in Kathmandu, Nepal. Actively involved in filmmaking since 2014, she has directed and produced several short fiction and documentary films that have been selected for and awarded at various film festivals. A graduate of Oscar International College with a degree in Screenwriting and Direction, Rajeela has also contributed to film education as a documentary filmmaking instructor at Nepal Film Campus and Nepal Sangeet Vidhyalaya. She has been consistently mentoring women and youth in filmmaking, advocating for inclusivity and representation in cinema.

Her films explore a range of socio-political themes. She is the recipient of the Tony Hagen Foundation grant 2019, Cut. Katha 2023 grant and a Global Media Makers fellow at Film Independent 2023. She has been working with Flicker Arts Entertainment on her First Feature Documentary," A PLACE WHERE RHODODENDRON BLOOMS," since 2018, which is expected to be completed by 2028.
